Projects

Upcoming events:
     -

     - 2010 NCCAA World Series

The foundation’s projects will typically fall into two categories: 1) internal projects/programs; 2) grants-in-kind.

Internal Projects/Programs
Internal projects and programs are those initiated and funded by the foundation. One major foundation project pertains to assisting selected nonprofit organizations with their golf outing fundraisers.  Another current AF program involves the distribution of books and other resources.

Grants-in-Kind
Grants-in-kind are non-cash donations of services, and AF often assists another nonprofit organization on a project-basis in this way. Areas in which the foundation can contribute include: networking; marketing and media; curriculum development; planning; and organizational advancement.

The foundation offers grant-in-kind services to groups it financially supports and also to groups it does not. Often, grant-in-kind projects prove equally or more valuable than financial assistance. At this time, The Arington Foundation has no formal process for fielding grant-in-kind project requests. Most requests come from organizations with which the board and staff are familiar. All requests for AF grant-in-kind services are uniquely evaluated and implemented as human resources are available.

CPI - Caring Partners International
Caring Partners is a worldwide medical ministry. An AF staffer journeyed with CPI to Nicaragua in 2004 to video CPI’s medical clinic and pharmacy operations in that country. Later, a promotional DVD was produced to generate increased awareness of and support for CPI across the globe.  Click here to see the CPI Promotional Video*.
